Total Lost

According to Trendwolves, a belgian trendwatching company focusing on youth, one of the most important youth trends for 2013 is total lost.

By this, they mean that a lot of young people are progressively feeling small and vulnerable in a big, bad world. 

It's a feeling that's inherent to being young, but lately large groups of youngsters tend to have these feelings. The world is changing at enormous speed, as a result of which expectations and challenges are higher as usual. 

The young generation can't cope with that pressure and is being overwhelmed with a feeling of total loss.

We recognize this trend in the series Girls. Girls is about four twenty-something girls (obviously) who are dealing with the same feelings. The series have been received very well all over the world, because it describes this generation and the Zeitgeist so well.
