Recently,
we discovered two museums who deal with attractive technological aspects in
their presentation. The aim is not only to involve the, sometimes fast-consuming,
visitors in a special and cheerful way, but also to inspire by connecting the cultural heritage of art & history with virtuality.
The
Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC, is presenting every week two videos of an
artwork which is explained by an curator. The webseries, called 82nd&Fifth
can be found here.
The
Cleveland Museum of Art demonstrates an interactive way of experiencing the
museum’s collection. How this is achieved can be seen here
We believe
that those examples give the direction to what museums have to offer in order
to engage and appeal their visitors.
